By default OracleOraDb11g_homeTNSListener startup type is Automatic. When I am trying to start it giving me this message

The OracleOraDb11g_homeTNSListener service on local Computer started and then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or program.

Probably due to environment variables not being set correctly.

Set:
ORACLE_HOME to: D:\OracleHome\product\11.2.0\dbhome_1
TNS_ADMIN to: %ORACLE_HOME%\NETWORK\ADMIN

And at the beginning of PATH, add: %ORACLE_HOME%\bin;

I don't really use Oracle on Windows, only Linux, I do have a version running on my Windows laptop for when I want to do some tests, but have never administered Oracle on Windows, so I am not an expert in this area.

Without being able to see any log files it's difficult to troubleshoot and I just have to guess, let's see what your registry says. What is the value of

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> System -> CurrentControlSet -> Services -> OracleOraDb11g_home1TNSListener -> Image Set?

Why don't you upload the logs to

http://www.filedropper.com/

And then share the link here?

In that way, anyone, and not just me, can look at them and help you.

Thanks/

Please upload the listener log file so that I can try and determine why the listener doesn't come up when Windows starts.

Thanks

Sorry, I don't get a chance to log on every day.

The link seems to just redirect to the homepage of filedropper? I can't see any logs there.

Thanks.
