Why the below coding gives error>

  }

  {

  }
}

May be you forgot something? Something related to class Date?

I cannot see from your code where you get your Date class. And you?

Your code has no import statements. Do you import java.util.Date (or java.sql.Date, whichever you are using) into this class?

Missing:

i.e.

import java.util.*;

or

import java.util.*;
