I am new to java. Could any provide me information regarding J2SE and J2EE diff and there installations.
Yes everything is avail in the guidelines.
Standard edition and enterprise edition.
Best site for java installation.
It should also support JSP,Swing, and XML.
Please provide me transparent information reg java installation.

J2SE v5 will give you as much as you need to do anything with J2SE and EJB3, If you need to use EJB2 you will need to get J2EE, however, if you can help it, don't have anything to do with J2EE. My suggestion is to google EJB3 and read up on what is returned.

Since you are new to Java, I suggest you start with J2SE. You can learn more about J2EE once you are comfortable with the syntax of the language and some of the fundamental APIs that are available.

To install, just download the installer from http://java.sun.com. I think the installer for all supported platforms uses a standard installation wizard, so there should be few problems. Let us know what happens when you try to install it.
