Hi folks,
For 4b Say, should we be writing out hundreds units with an "and", for example: "three hundred and forty-five"?
I was getting tangled up trying to include it, but looking back at the assignment I see that no "ands" are used.
cheers,
Pauline

"and" is not necessary for this assignment.

My seventh-grade math teacher made one thing VERY clear to all of us terrorized students:
When saying a number out loud, the word "and" signifies the decimal point! Thus "213" is pronounced "two hundred thirteen" and "6.5" is pronounced "six AND five tenths".
If anybody said "two hundred and thirteen" in his hearing, he would come down on them like a ton of bricks. Fortunately, since he had a hearing aid, his radius of hearing was fairly small...
Hoo boy! Seventh grade...now THAT'S quite a while ago!
