I am a begineer to java.I am currently referring Thinking in Java,3rd Edition.Alongwith the reference I want to make and implement some programs in Java.Is there any book or link from where I can get ample of programming problems to encode.

Try the sun tutorial for Java. There are plenty of examples in there which you can "encode".

You could also look at the Student Companion Site for "Big Java" by Horstmann. There are some pretty nice exercises in the "Labs" section.
