The list of names for John Doe around the world.

I was particularly impressed with "John Doe" translated into British English. Does that mean blogging has become so popular in the United Kingdom?

Joe Bloggs is a name adopted for a line of clothing before blogging even started.
The original Joe Bloggs remains a mystery. And how the name came to be used to mean the average bloke.

Although the term "Joe Bloggs" (and also Joe Soap) is used to identify the generic unknown person in the UK, I have never heard it used in any official capacity as we see the term "John Doe" used in the US in TV and Police fiction. If you watch UK based police fiction they don't refer to the unidentified body/victim/silent person in custody by those names.
