Hi

I am trying to find out how I buy Electronics and Computer goods in UK Cheaply. I would like to do my homework before I buy.

Do we have something like Amazon here in UK. I compared amazon UK and UK and looks like UK is really expensive.

I am interested in buying 4.0 M Pixel Digital Camera as well as Some Camcorder.

Yup, its www.amazon.co.uk.

Another popular online store in UK is http://www.dabs.com/uk

Or else try shopping around Tottenham Court Road, if you are in London.

Hi,

give these sites a go first, they'll compare loads of online and highstreet prices and show you the best deals.

Kelkoo

Pricerunner

And there's always eBay as well...

Remember that Amazon US has taxfree prices while Amazon UK has prices including UK VAT.
If you order from the US UK customs will bill you UK VAT as well as import duties, bringing the total price to likely be over the UK price (that is, if Amazon US doesn't charge you UK VAT as they're obliged to do under EU law in order to legally sell to EU citizens).

The same is true of all US online stores, US online (and mailorder) stores do not have to charge tax to out of state orders (this in contrast with EU stores which do have to charge).
