Has anyone bought something unusual from eBay, or dealt with someone famous on the site?

A worthless Tesco shopping bag went for 4.50 approx after something like 15 bids.
They'd have had better value buying Tesco's Bag for Life for 10p.

Wow. There must be cheaper ways of effecting voting then buying votes on eBay. Paying someone to make 58,000 voting forms disappear springs to mind

Once of my friends sold his dignity. He made a nice looking certificate stating so, and one of his buddies bid $5, but ended up splitting a 6-pack with him.

eBay makes 12 per second i.e 43,200 per hour. In the UK on eBay, a car is sold every 4 minutes and clothing every 20 seconds. I still wonder how much of that's just junk.

British Petroleum makes 1 million an hour - 23 times more than eBay.
