It appears to be a scam.. How many of you have voted? (how many times?? ). AFAIK, it is a major hit in India. My native town, Madurai, is still in n7w fever. I keenly watch the stats on their website. I noticed something wrong with their stat. Either there is a bug in their polling software or they are scaming people.. Please check the past week stat below. I have observed the India's stat only.

Jan 12, 2004 statistics :

India : 17.32 %
Taj Mahal, India: 52.95 % (Weekly stat)
Meenakshi Temple, Madurai, India: 45.49 % (Weekly stat)

Taj Mahal, India: 7.70 % (Overall)
Meenakshi Temple, Madurai, India: 0.75 % (Overall)

Jan 14th 2004 Stats:

India : 17.35 %

Taj Mahal, India: 7.70 % (Same as 12th Jan)
Meenakshi Temple, Madurai, India: 0.75 % (Same as 12th Jan)

Jan 16th Stat:

India : 17.46 %

Taj Mahal, India: 7.71 % (Over All)
Meenakshi Temple, Madurai, India: 0.76 % (Over all)

Taj Mahal, India: 49.50 % (Weekly)
Meenakshi Temple, Madurai, India: 48.58 % (Weekly)

Jan 17th Stat

India : 17.51 %

Meenakshi Temple, Madurai, India: 55.30 % (Weekly)
Taj Mahal, India: 42.60 % (Weekly)

Taj Mahal, India: 7.71 % (Overall)
Meenakshi Temple, Madurai, India: 0.77 % (Overall)

As you can see, Out of 100% polled for a week, nearly 98% goes to either Taj or Meenakshi. But the overall percent of those monuments do not seem to increase the way India's % increase.

From 12th - 17th, India's share of votes increased by 0.19%. But the combined increase of Taj and Meenakshi is only 0.03%. Where did the other votes go? There is no contact information in their website, there is no clear definition of how the votes are counted.

To me, it seems a money grabbing venture. What do you guys think?
