It took a while to plod through 6 pages:

The 3 dimensions you scored highest on combine to make you a Visual Linguist. Only 6 out of 1,000 people have this rare combination of abilities.

I guess that means I need pictures to read.

iqtest.dk is an iqtest made Mensa Denmak. If you follow the "links" link
from the page, you'll come to a collection of quite a few iqtests.

btw. what is ff? as in 500ff or 400ff.

I understood it as 50% off and 40% off,
nothing else made sence, it couldn't be $50 off the $2.00
Actually no matter what it was, I think answer is clear.

Funny, this is what I got:
The 3 dimensions you scored highest on combine to make you a Concrete Thinker. Only 6 out of 1,000 people have this rare combination of abilities.

I got the score of 131, with this description: "Your thinking style is Intuitive Investigator. Intuitive Investigators have extremely active minds and may sometimes forget about their physical environment because they're so busy thinking."

Some of the questions are interesting, but I was also surpirsed how simplistic the other questions were. Unfortunately, they don't tell you which answers are incorrect. I'd love to know.

John, your Super IQ score is 141

The way you think about things makes you a Creative Theorist. This means you are a highly intelligent, complex person. You are able to process information of nearly every kind with ease, using both creativity and analysis to make sense of the world. Compared to others you also have a very rich imagination.

===================================

This is a creative scam. Boy am want to sign up to have them feed my hungry ego with useless & meaningless praise.

The way you think about things makes you a Complex Intellectual. This means you are highly intelligent and have extraordinarily strong verbal and math skills. Compared to others you are a highly conceptual and complex thinker and are able to understand information in an abstract form. You also show great attention to detail. In fact, it's hard to find something you're not good at.

Do all of their classifications come with this 6/1000 statistic???
Does that mean they have 167 different classifications?

Just to see what the description would be for the low score, I chose the first option to answer all the questions. The score came out to be 98, which seems to indicate average IQ. The text did say that I have some unique set of skills that occurs in only 6 out of 1000 people. My next test would be to answer all questions wrong, to the best of my ability. I am almost sure that the description would still be complimentary.

"My next test would be to answer all questions wrong, to the best of my ability. I am almost sure that the description would still be complimentary."

I too was curious and purposefully (um, yeah.... that's my story, and I'm sticking to it) answered all the questions incorrectly. Apparently even on a bad day, I "have the unusual distinction of being equally good", which is true based on my test answers, "at math and verbal skills."

" Congratulations, J
Your IQ score is 72

This number is based on a scientific formula that compares how many questions you answered correctly on the Classic IQ Test relative to others.

Your Intellectual Type is Inventive Inquisitor. You have the unusual distinction of being equally good at math and verbal skills. This means you are a creative thinker and are uniquely good at teaching others through experiences. You are also a great improviser and very good at handling change."

Apparently, I am not in a privileged 6 in 1000 group. Fortunately, the site did not encourage me to find a mate.

(Edited to set Bold tag, which is as shown on the site, to display correctly. -JB)

The curious thing is that the "choose the first option" strategy did not result in the 72 IQ; rather, the strategy resulted in what is widely considered an average IQ. Assuming that the correct answers are evenly distributed among the choices, I think that random guessing, which a (albeit computer literate) monkey could do, should not result in an average IQ.

The flaw in my argument lies in the possibility that the correct answers are not evenly distributed among all options and the correct answers are predominantly in the first option. Given that there are 40 questions, I suppose the next control in this experiment is to answer precisely the expected by random guesssing correct number of questions correctly. For example for a test with 40 questions and five options for each question, the expected by random guessing score is eight.

Of course to test the test in this way, this further assumes that all questions are weighted equally.

Anyone??? Anyone???

I did not know that :

The way you think about things makes you a Numerical Logician. This means that you're exceptionally strong in mathematics and at using logic to solve problems you have a way with numbers. But that's not all compared to others you're very detail-oriented,highly organized, and good at understanding things on a complex and abstract level. You're also a quick study when it comes to learning new things or understanding new concepts.

I am also one of those "6 out of 1000" guy.

The way you think about things makes you a Linguistic Architect. This means you are brilliant when it comes to language and words. You are also very good at understanding things on an abstract level. You are at your best when you put those two skills together to communicate new ideas and see how they fit into different contexts. You understand math and science on a gut level, even if the equations and science don't come as easily. You can use these skills to be a great communicator or to create a masterpiece.

Only 6 out of 1,000 people have this rare combination of abilities.

Do you think they made the test easy to suck you in on your arrogance or is the test real?

Let's recap... they give you the initial test for free, stroke your ego and then for a small fee offer to expand upon the ego stroking. I may not be a genius, but it don't take one to see what this is all about.

Nevertheless, the score that I obtained from this free exam closely reflects the score that I obtained on other IQ tests.

Does anyone who has taken the free exam care to comment on this test's scoring mechanism?
