guys im new at java i just installed netbeans 6.5 and i am using glassfish v2 u2 i am trying to do the beginner tutorial on the page

i am at RUNNING THE APLICATION but i can not continuebecause i have this error


i have no idea please guys, i need some back up thanks for the help

Have you placed the jar containing class javax/el/ELResolver. Please check. I also faced these types of problems a lot of times. They got solved after putting the jars in the lib folder.

where do i find this jar i am pretty new on java

i need help i tryed to add the el.revolver jar for the class i add on the project via jar library and selected the file
but is stil the same, i dont knwo why is that hard to configure the netbeans 6.5 and glassfish help please

ELResolver has to be added to the server library directory in Tomcat 5. It's already there and doesn't need to be added for Tomcat 6.

As for Glassfish, I'd expect it to already be there for up-to-date Glassfish releases, since Glassfish is a more complete implementation of JEE than Tomcat is.

In any event, you shouldn't include the EL jar in the application itself. If you must add it, add it the the server's internal classpath.

I think this also applies to the JSF implementation classes for Glassfish - I know it does with recent versions of JBoss.

so i have to add the javax.el.jar to glassfish/lib directory?

i already added the javax.el.ar to the glassfish lib and still not working and trying adding to the project library and is also not working is the same message
