What's the differences between Hibernate and JDO and which is superior? (loaded question)

Thinking of what I would ask if interviewing on the subject...

1. Name types of inheritence models and describe how they work? (such as vertical inheritence, horizontal, etc)

2. Study some hibernate files and write a query based on some set of information.

3. How would you go about creating hibernate classes and XML on a new set of tables? (hint: think code generation).

A good simple question is where should your configuration have the tags for One-to-many relationships, The parent or the child?

In your useful link above, there was this question/answer below

Q: How can you make a property be read from the database but not modified in anyway (make it immutable)?
A: By using the insert="false" and update="false" attributes.

While I agree with update="false", I have reservation about insert="false".
How could insert the original value into that column if insert="false"?

There are three tests on Hibernate Interview and concepts. After you give the test , you can see the results and a graph as to how you have fared with other candidates.

Hello, You must prepare this kind of question on the topic Hibernate.

1.What is ORM in Hibernate?
2.What are the advantages of Hibernate over JDBC?
3.What are some of the important interfaces of Hibernate framework?
4. What is a Session in Hibernate?
5.What is a SessionFactory?

- These are some important questions you can prepare for.
