INTJ
gotta love this line:

"This happens in part because many INTJs do not readily grasp the social rituals; for instance, they tend to have little patience and less understanding of such things as small talk and flirtation (which most types consider half the fun of a relationship). To complicate matters, INTJs are usually extremely private people, and can often be naturally impassive as well, which makes them easy to misread and misunderstand. Perhaps the most fundamental problem, however, is that INTJs really want people to make sense. :-)"

I came out as type INTJ as well.

On the good side:

When it comes to their own areas of expertise -- and INTJs can have several -- they will be able to tell you almost immediately whether or not they can help you, and if so, how. INTJs know what they know, and perhaps still more importantly, they know what they don't know.

On the other hand:

Personal relationships, particularly romantic ones, can be the INTJ's Achilles heel. While they are capable of caring deeply for others (usually a select few), and are willing to spend a great deal of time and effort on a relationship, the knowledge and self-confidence that make them so successful in other areas can suddenly abandon or mislead them in interpersonal situations.

Another interesting quote was:

Typical INTJ career choices are in the sciences and engineering

Is it me, or have these quotes described the stereotypical nerd?

INTJ.

It says that we "masterminds" make up less than one percent of the population... not sure I buy that.

I used to be a Meyers-Briggs INTJ at 80%+ in all categories. However, I've gradually shifted over to being ENTJ. I tried to answer the questions as I think I'll be 10 years from now; still ENTJ, but it looks like the T is the next thing to shift, as it has dropped to 1%.

I am INFJ. I am pretty amused to see that it does indeed describe many of my personality traits pretty accurately.

So these types change? Hmmmm, guess it depends on how your thoughts and perceptions change over the years.

Nevertheless, it's great to see Map back in action!!! We missed her while she was away!!

For fun, I read through all the profile types and picked which one I thought my wife is (ISFJ). Then I had her take the test and sure enough, that was her type!

We are Supplements.

Supplement - like Pal, but functions are farther removed: each can add to the other's strengths
(Pal - work and play well together: minimal natural type conflict)
