Howdy!..I'm working on sample programs so that I can get the hang of this here Java... so far I've been doing ok.. but I ran into a little issue..can someone explain it to me?
My program was built successfully but what I got was the below:

Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsupportedOperationException: Not yet implemented
at ch3circle4.DecimalFormat.<init>(DecimalFormat.java:15)
at ch3circle4.Main.main(Main.java:27)
Java Result: 1

what does UnsupportedOperationException: Not yet implemented mean?

Well, it is your code. You should tell us what does it mean.

The exception is thrown from the constructor of a class named "DecimalFormat", which is located in a package named "ch3circle4". I am assuming that this is a class that you wrote, or got from somewhere.

I'm learning how to run programs, this one in particular is from my text chapter. So far I thought I was doing all that I was suppose to do. But I came up with the issue in question

Howdy Alex!

What Henry is probably trying to say is that the class DecimalFormat that you are using is not part of standard java but some customized class.
It looks like the constructor has not been implemented and throwing the exception.

It probably means it was created on NetBeans which seems to write "throw new UnsupportedOperationException("Not implemented yet");" in every new method. You are supposed to delete that when you implement the method.
