Everybody might be aware of the blunder caused by the haryana police against the workers/employees of Honda Motors and Scooters India at Gurgaon (Haryana, India), recently.
It was a havoc situation there for over a week. I would say that the way in which the police treated the honda employees was worst in its own manner and was horrible and severe than an enemy would ever treat.
So much said on the television and least done on the part of the government, I really feel down and out over the zero concern of national newspapers of India on this heavy issue. Take 'The Times of India', boasting of itself as world's no. 1 or 'The Indian Express' saying itself an english daily with the journalism of courage, and promoting itself as genuine. The India express didn't express much about this news and the times of The Times of India were so different that they didn't even mention about it as if nothing happened.
If the newspapers that form the face of India can do such things, what to expect from others.
That issue was not addressed because injured people were factory workers don't come under the readership of TOI or IE. I too saw the news.It was a big news till rain havoc in Mumbai started.I saw the interview of factory workers. One was saying "Japanese Manager and Indian Manager used to harass them.Sometimes they were not allowed to go outside the premises/toilets" Workers did not answer when they were asked on why didn't they complain about such treatment at that time. Workers were equally rude while beating few policemen and burning the police car. I think police already warned them before this incidence by implmenting Article 144.

Arjun. This statement is not digestable. Is it so that every issue which is addressed in TOI or IE comes under the readership across the section of people at all levels? You mean that TOI or IE never publish any issue about those people who don't read either newpapers. -------------------------------------------------------------------------

-------------------------------------------------------------------------- It was told in the news that the protest from workers side was in a calm manner and only after policemen came and started beating the workers, they got furious and burnt the police car.
I doubt.I don't want to take side of police but the manner in which workers were beating cops was equally rude.Ofcourse police should have handled this matter in descent manner. But police know that some commision will be set up,one or two cops will be temporarily suspended and thats all.Workers(or many people)assume that this country is their private property and they will do anything to protect their job.
Those so called 'workers' deserve a shooting order, not just lathi charge. They initially beat up the police. They are the people with their Red commie friends are bent on keeping India poor.I have full sympathy for the police force. They are underfunded, undertrained and vilified for every move.Media, in this case, proclaimed itself as a objective judge sitting on a position of intellect.
Bottom line is that the companies shouldmhave the right to fire and hire at their own will.Only then we can grow at a rapid pace. For that we need to clear the RED GARBAGE from our parliament.
