Hello

Yesterday I passed IBM Object Oriented Analysis and Design with UML test with 92% marks.

Thanks to all ranchers for their suggestions on study material & discussion on various topics that helped me a lot in passing the exam . Specially Desai Sandeep, David Roberts, Junilu Lacar for exhaustive discussions and Tariq Haq for his advice. I thought he is from IBM test generation section b/c of the way he point out Sandeep's wrong quesions.

My detailed marks are :

Section Q's% Score%
Dev Process 12% 100%
Req Modeling 18% 88%
Architecture 12% 85%
Static Modeling 22% 92%
Dynamic Modeling 24% 100%
Design & Imp. Tech. 12% 85%

Some tips for test takers :

1. Read Fowler's and Larman's book twice ( I have read 3 times )

2. Dont be too bogged down in to questions. If you dig more deeper you may go wrong b/c every aspect of a choice has two more aspects (obvious from coupling question & design#1 desgin#2 discussions on this forum ) IBM's choice is the most obvious in these cases.

3. You may feel loosing time at the beginning (My experience is 25 min in first 10 Q's) but once you understand case studies, that will repeat in the whole exam and you can quickly go through them.

4. Try to solve Q's before time, I have found 5 wrong answers in 2nd pass.

Good luck to all

It costs US$175 in the States.

Guys, the original post is quite dated.
We normally don't move announcement results from this forum to the Results forum because we don't usually have that many of them but this week being the crazy "Book Giveaway" week, I am going to close this topic now to cut down on the noise.
