I hope you must have seen the adv they are airing these days for using condoms.

I dont understand why they want to show fake face of woman.

Its Suhag Raat(First night) and man is treating her like a 10 yr old child who knows nothing.

Bullshittt... the message I got after watching that adv that its is only man's wish when he want to make a woman pregnant. Woman knows nothing about sex or pregnancy or at least she has no right to interfere in man's chioce. Or worst she can not decide when she want to be pregnant.

Better they could have shown 'reality' that both are discussing when they want to start family and then shown big caption of "Yahi Hai Sahi"(thats right).

I am sure that all women right organisation must be feeling happy that woman is shown so simple and no one would object on airing of that adv.

I think those adds are not for people like you and me taget audience is those lower middle class and middle class people who live in small towns and villages who knew less abt AIDS and using condoms

Are we assuming that girls from lower/middle class dont know about AIDS/sex and they should be treated like 10 yr old child on first night ???
They should not be involved in the planning of family with her husband or to say to discuss about AIDS on first night.

And why to wait till first night .. should they not be informed well before so that they dont make any so called mistake ???

I was not discussing about the economical aspect but actually educational aspect when I reffered to lower/middle class people. In our villages literacy rate is already very low and among womens the situation is worst just think about how you are going to describe an illiterate orthodox Men/Women about Acquired Immuno Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS).

They should not be involved in the planning of family with her husband or to say to discuss about AIDS on first night.

I agree with you but as far as our villages are concerned womens are not at all involved in such issues. So Adds might have been build keeping in mind
such problems.

To describe AIDS you have to depict sex and what is the better way of depicting sex in Indian context other than showing first night.
