I am trying to load my camel spring context file and I get exception below...
Also I have pasted the context file and the Unit Test code.

public class CamelTest {
CamelContext camelContext;
UnitTestApplicationContext context;
ClassPathXmlApplicationContext beanContext;
protected ProducerTemplate<Exchange> camelTemplate;

@Test
public void first() {
beanContext = new ClassPathXmlApplicationContext(
"classpath:application-spring-service-context.xml");

camelContext = (CamelContext)beanContext.getBean( "camelContext" );
camelTemplate = camelContext.createProducerTemplate( );
try
{
camelContext.start();
}
catch ( Exception e )
{
// TODO Auto-generated catch block
e.printStackTrace();
}
String result = camelTemplate.requestBody("direct:bean2bean", "message").toString();
assertEquals("from Bean2", result);
}
}

Are you missing a jar file?

Hi Mark,
I found the jar file which was missing and added to classpath.
I am able to load the context file but getting some other error in the routing itself which is really confusing.

In spring -camel context file

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<beans xmlns="http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans"; xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance";
xmlns:context="http://www.springframework.org/schema/context"; xmlns:camel="http://activemq.apache.org/camel/schema/spring";
xsi:schemaLocation="http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans
http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans/spring-beans-2.5.xsd
http://www.springframework.org/schema/context
http://www.springframework.org/schema/context/spring-context-2.5.xsd
http://activemq.apache.org/camel/schema/spring
http://activemq.apache.org/camel/schema/spring/camel-spring.xsd
">
<bean id="bean1" class="dev.local.Bean1" />
<bean id="bean2" class="dev.local.Bean2" />

<camel:camelContext id="camelContext">

<camel:route>
<camel:from uri="direct:bean2bean" />
<camel:to uri="bean:bean2" />
</camel:route>

</camel:camelContext>
</beans>

Error:
org.springframework.beans.factory.BeanDefinitionStoreException: Unexpected exception parsing XML document from class path resource [application-spring-service-context.xml]; nested exception is org.apache.camel.spring.xml.IllegalActionException: Illegal route.The action 'from' cannot be used as the starting action.

A route should always start with a <from> tag according to camel-spring.xsd,but could not understand why would it give me such an error.

Could you please comment on this?

Unfortunately, I don't know anything about camel. but is there a <camel:start>

From just a term perspective, I would think how can you come "from" somewhere, if you weren't "from" there to start with. Meaning it sounds to me like you have to tell it where you are "starting" from first.

Also, for future reference, there is a CODE button below the add reply button that will place CODE tags in your post. Then you can paste your config xml and code in between those tags so that the text keeps its formatting like indentation so that I can read it.

Thanks

Mark
