I have some video cds of good speeches and I want to make audio cds out of them so that I can hear them on diskman, ipod etc. Is there a device that can help me rip audio from a video cd. Of my own through trial and error, I could not find any possibility in Windows media player.

I did that for lecture once, I had lecture video files for school and I converted them to audio files, then to audio cds I could listen to on long trips.

I did the conversion very manually though, started Windows Recorder while the video was playing and made sure input/output were such that it heard only the line out, ergo no microphone or background noise was heard. Although sort of primitive, it worked far better than you'd think. After they were wave files converting them to MP3s or Cds was easy.

Only downside is that you have to leave your computer running while the lecture is going, although I would just watch away and come back in an hour.

Seriously Rick? Seriously? You might as well just read this tiny ad:
