Hi,

Some security popup appeared a few days ago. I ignored it.

Now I noticed that I am logged into another administrator-role user in my personal pc here at home.

I am okay with whatever happened. I just want to get my files in MyDocuments of the Administrator user. As expected, I am disallowed from access that folder, as I am logged into another user (although administrator role too).

The Administrator user no longer appears in logon option, and in Users in control panel, it also is not there anymore.

Any idea how to recover my My Documents folder?

Did you try safe mode for administrator logon?

Thanks for the reply.

Apparently, the user id is still there. It just isnt showing among the list of user id options shown when the PC is started. I removed that automatic display of userids and enforce typing the userid, thereby having the userid textbox shown (done using Users / in Control Panel; 'change the way users login, logoff').

I typed AAdministrator on the userid textbox shown and I was able to get in and get my files (which will possibly get me lots of goodies, as I restored my wife's files).
