I set the cleartext values for username and password and restarted the machine, but when I start the server through Administration console, I get the same message and same log file indicating the same error and the values in boot.properties gets changed or encrypted, it does not remain in clear text...
also, in the startup.properties file, the ip address of the server gets changed to 192.168.40.133, although it is 192.168.141.125, this error is also indicated in the log file...

any guru...

hi,
its done now, I followed the procedure described in the following guide..
Creating and Starting a Managed Server on a Remote Machine: Main Steps

http://edocs.bea.com/common/docs92/pack/tasks.html#wp1069185

But it gave a message indicating that Server, Machine and Cluster names are not properly configured on your machine, but it unpacked the ManagedDomain.jar(you can give any name to this file) file and created the managed domain folder on the target machine. And when I started the server through Administration console of 1st node, it got started and state shown was Running.
The issue was that I was creating the cluster without keeping in mind that procedure for Remote machines will be different, that's it. Although, I was creating on remote machine but was following different method, but its done now...
