apache 2 test page when trying to access tomcat

I'm new to this and I'm trying to setup apache/tomcat, I believe I was able to do the install correctly and able to start tomcat.

I'm on Linux, CentOS and I'm not advanced I don't have much Linux knowledge. I got these steps on how to install apache/tomcat from another programmer.

Well I try to access the tomcat login page through my browser so I typed in the http://ip-address:8080

and I just get an "apache 2 test page", I don't get the login screen for tomcat.

does anybody know what the problem could be?

I verified with my web-host (I have a vps server this is installed on) and they confirm my apache/httpd is on port 80.
