Variable declaration

Hello Ranchars,

I am getting error on line 3 during compilation.
Can any one tell me why this error is coming.

The compile error at line 3 should be the same compile error at line 2 -- at no point did you declare the variable "z".

Could you please explain in details, why is compiler complaining. I know there is very basic fundamental rule behind but i need the explanination so that i could understand and remember for future.

int x=z=1;              //line 2 

this line is means:

z=1;
int x=z;

But before doing z=1; we need to declare z as a int variable so it can take int value.

like this:

int z;
z=1;
int x=z;

so you can do

int z;
int x=z=1;
