Hi, I'm reading the OReilly Head First Servlets and JSP, but I don't see anything on jdbc stuff. My database will be mysql. The other Head First book is Head First PHP & MySQL. Well, since I'll be learning servlets and JSP, I don't want to waste my time on PHP stuff. I thought Head First Servlets and JSP would include JDBC codes ... Is there a book recommended for Servlets, JSP calling MYSQL?

"bos wos", please check your private messages for an important administrative matter.

With regards to your query, I'd look very askance at a book that mixed JSP and Servlets with JDBC. They're completely separate topics, and should be kept completely separate in your application structure.

You should write your model classes to be completely independent of any UI considerations and vice versa.

Therefore, any good book on JDBC should serve you just fine. As such, I've moved this off to the JDBC forum.
Whip out those weird instruments of science and probe away! I think it's a tiny ad:
