Official references and examples for XML Descriptors of JPA

We can use jpa specs to know about annotations. But it doesn't provide any example on using XML descriptors.

Is their any other specs (or anything else), which covers all of the XML elements on persistence?, with appropriate examples?

The book "Pro EJB3" from Mike Keith/ Merrick Schincariol is an excellent source for JPA.
There are also examples for each xml element used in the mapping files.
