Since this is Version2.0 on this topic, is it a book for a complete novice like me?
Does it have illustrated codes and detailed explanations about the whereabouts of this platform?

It is designed for a complete novice to Android. It does assume experience with Java programming, though, and having developed widget-based GUIs (Swing, SWT, .NET/MFC, etc.) would be helpful.

Does it have illustrated codes and detailed explanations about the whereabouts of this platform?

Yes!
