You should read all of the books I suggest, but no need to read every page or study in depth detail, because SCEA part 1 questions are high level.
You should also study RMI, and JMS from Sun's websites.
I could not say any book is "required", because you can take SCEA part 1 without reading any books, but if you want to pass you should read objectives, and study from books that cover the objectives.
If you want to be a software architect, I strongly recommend you to read Domain-Driven Design, even though, it's not directly related to SCEA, but it is a great book that every software developer/designer/architect should read.
