Very close to call. If Italy play like they did against the Germans it should be them, though I'd rather France won. With Zambrotta and Camoranesi against them the French aren't going to get forward down the wings as much as they did against Portugal and Brazil, and Henry doesn't work so well as a lone striker. Who knows though, maybe Zidane will do something magical since its his last match?

I hope that France wins! Im not a big fan of Italy (their Football team, not the country which I like and enjoy to visit) and their team of
actresses...

I believe France has a good chance if Zidane plays as well as he's done the
last two matches. France' weak point is definitly their goal keeper - he
didn't play well yesterday.

@ Paul: I dont think Henry has been that bad. After all, he scored 3 goals,
one of them was the one the winning goal over Brazil, and yesterday he got
a penalty which lead to a goal by Zidane.

I don't disagree, he's had a decent World Cup. However, he is probably going to ge less help than he did aginst Brazil (for example) since Ribery and Malouda will be more occupied tracking back against Zambrotta and Camoranesi. Whenever Arsenal play him on his own up front, and Pires and Hleb can't get up to help him the game tends to pass him by. Unless Ribery and Malouda play well the same could happen.

The key player in the final is Zinedine Zidane
If he plays like the way he played against Brazil then nothing is going to stop France from winning this World Cup.
Of course Henry has to support him well. Thuram has been doing excellent in French defence.
It will be a great match

If the majority of people are with france then it is going to be Italy and vice versa as because team with high expectation has been knocked out of this world cup.

Another key player will be Makelele, when he plays the defensive midfield role covering the space in front of the defence. Important as the other teams central attaching midfielder is usually one of their best players and is normally their play maker. If he does this well (and he normally does) then Zidane will be able to get forward more.

France to win but it might be tight, and may depend on a referees decision!

Would be a fitting end to a great footballers career, if Zidane lifts the world cup.

I'm going with Italy. Del Piero to score the winner! Although it would be fitting for Zidance - the best player of the current era, to win it before he retires and score like he did in 1998.

P.S. Portugal were a disgrace last night with their cheating and diving, it would have been a travesty if they had made the final.

France !
They sent the "unbeatable" Brasilians and the chief-game-killer Portugal packing in regular time. The Brasil match was great.

I'm going with France, but I guess Italy will win.

I hope we don't get informed later, that a lot of the Italian players are involved in the italien league affair.
Of course a lot of players in the italian league are national players from different nations.
