Eh.. DBvis isn't new, it has been around forever and is pretty much the greatest thing since sliced bread. If you find yourself neck deep in databases, there is nothing better.

Thanks all! I and Hans Bergsten will be here during the week.

Some said DbVisualizer isn't new. That is definitely true as it debuted 10 years ago on 1999-07-10 :-)
10 fun years.

Best Regards

Roger

Me too...only recently I heard of DBVisualizer...but the gap between Software development
and DBA is shrinking steadily...

Welcome to the forum!

Hi Roger, welcome.

I haven't used DbVisualizer, I have another favorite tool I use from my Windows to run against DB2 in z/OS and Oracle. But I just noticed we also have DBVisualizer available at our shop here at Volvo IT.

So I have ordered it now and will compare it to AQT to see what benefits there are. Maybe I come back if I have any questions.

Wasn't this free in the past. I think I used it when it was an open source Eclipse plug-in?

I'd like to clarify a few things:
1) This is a software promo not a book promo. There isn't a book.
2) We don't require products to be new to participate in a promo. The fact that people are saying they forgot about it or didn't know about it proves this promo has value.
3) Please ask questions in other threads. This thread is for welcoming Roger (and Hans.) Posts in this thread are not eligible to win.
