I have worked with couple of DB Tools like TOAD, MySQL Admin, SQLYog and SQLDeveloper.
The common problem that I have seen is when the script is large like thousands of SQL commands (DDL/DML), it hangs up.
I don't have any experience of any version of DBVisualizer. To workaround it I copy limited part and execute it. So I would like to know how does DBV address this thing?

Vishal,

A lot of parameters are involved here so it is difficult to say how many statements can be executed in a single run. We've done tests with 20K row scripts (INSERT statements) without seeing any noticeable performance problems.

Make sure that you use decent hardware as well and have patience when the script hangs.

Thanks Roger! Mine script used to contain 65K. That seems to large.

Vishal,

No I wouldn't say a 65K script it is too large. Give it a try. If memory is an issue
then you will need to extend the memory allocated for Java. Read more in:
