I tried myself last time and the whole glass of milk was finished in just 2 or 3 seconds. But I think, it happened before in 1996.

Jai Ganesha.

No yaar.

All are very prestigious temple and idols, you can not doubt on that. And who will put this kind of stuff in all the idols just for one day...

It is this kind of credulity that fake swamijis and conmen take advantage of. I'm not saying that it was faked. But there seems to be a natural explantion for the phenomenon. I have seen the video in the link Chetan has given and its quite clear that most of time the spoon was tilted and milk was flowing away along the body of the idol.

No yaar, It is indeed a miracle; capillarity is a miracle, gravity is a miracle, everything about relativity is a miracle. Gods must be crazy for doing these miracles so often !!

Now it is proved that india is truly a country which is higly secular and also contains people who are highly guilable.

Secular coz just today morning I read news about perfumed water from mother mary's statue so in 3 days we have miracles from 3 najor religions in India and guilible coz we have people actually believing that.

ya right, sea water turning sweet, idols drinking milk, perfumed water from statues.... Why dun the gods do something about the potholes for a change, that would be a miracle I would believe in

When I heard about sweet water of Mahim, I was sure that now some miracle by Hindi god is about to happen.

But it was not good show by Hindus, because it happened only in north, second it was the repeat of same miracle.

I have not heard about perfumed water but I am sure Jesus must be in race too.

And regarding secular, what prove you need more than that people made muslim girl Goddess

What scientists believed

Scientists worldwide deemed it as simple theory of science, that of the milk was actually being absorbed by the statues, and not "sucked". They believed that what actually happened was that the molecules in the marble's rough surface created a capillary channel, which sucks in the droplets quite rapidly. These then spread into a very thin layer which is difficult to see.

In the video that Chetan linked to, the large bloke who claims to be agnostic and then later says he now believes in God thats such a scam just look at the people standing around behind him I can bet my arm that they shot both his comments with in minutes of each other. No offense to anyone who believe in this, but this is a load of b*ll*x!!

Another guy towards the end of the video assumes something must be happening because everyone is here well that explains it all, doesnt it?

I remember the last time this "Ganesh idol drinking milk" incident happened...
some smart lawyer publicly fed some alcohol to an idol... it seemed to disappear faster!!! . he then concluded that the Gods must want the alcohol more than the milk... that incident certainly caused a storm ..lol
