Hi,
I would like to know if there are some methods available to back up a database through JDBC. The database involved is Microsoft SQL Server 2005.

Thanks,

Yes you can do this via JDBC. You will need to call some Transact SQL to perform the backup. Have a read of the documentation for the syntax.
