Feh. This is a shallow, insensitive, brutal, revolting extirpation of a classic Simon and Garfinkel song. This is like saying "I really loved Moby Dick" and linking to this.

Note that the "i" key is right next to the "u" key on my keyboard. For me, it was just a typo.

Plenty: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simon_and_Garfunkel#Singles_with_Billboard_Hot_100_positions

For me, their music is part of what made The Graduate such a great film.

I recently heard "A Hazy Shade of Winter" on the radio. What a cool song it is. I like their songs, but I never remember who is who. I saw one of their live performance on tv. I couldn't stop laughing at the taller one, with his hands in his pockets on the stage

What's remarkable is that most pop hits over the past fifty years have been boring, tedious and annoying -- yet most of Simon and Garfunkel's music was very good. It's amazing how some music makers can be so superior to most of their peers, with most of the general music audience not having a clue that this is so.

I believe most popular music is targeted to listeners who cannot discern pitch or harmony (thus the awful early-round America's Next Idol contestants who have no clue how bad they are). I suspect that this majority of listeners mainly appreciate the rhythm, and identify with fashionable vocal tics (which they call "style").
