I am new here and not a java guru but I have a problem with code that I dont get solved

Updated my browser to IE7 -got java installed but when I run

I get the following error -Windows script host
Line 8
Char 3
Code 800A1391
Source Miicrosoft Jscript runtime error

I have the latest java installed but I cannot get past this error. I need the script to work for a webpage, so any input will be greatly appreciated -its hard for me but maybe easy for you guys. Any help will be appreciated

You are not using any Java code there, so whatever JDK or JVM you have installed doesn't matter. I'll move this to a more appropriate forum where you'll hopefully get a bit more help.

Saying Java == JavaScript is like saying Apples == Oranges.

Use Firefox and install http://getfirebug.com/ which will give you a better error message and point you to the error.

The Java code you are running is at the web server.
A client machine uses a browser to sent Request and gets a response in return

the response in this case is a HTML file also containing javascript code within it.

This code has an error.
As suggested, use Firefox >> firebug to debug the error.
