Hi Everybody,

I am quite comfortable with core java and J2EE concepts. Only thing I need is to practice a lot in the possbile question patterns in SCJP.
I wish to take the SCJP exam and I am confused as to which one to take. Is it SCJP 5 or SCJP 6? I previously did not take any of those exams.
Also I need some suggestion to buy a book for the preparation. Do I need to buy a book that is for SCJP 5 or SCJP 6? Do they really differ? Please help me in this.

Many people would recommend the SJCP 6 exam, since it is the latest. I'd suggest getting practice in the new features of Java 6.

As for books, SCJP for Java 6 (or something along those lines) by Sierra and Bates is pretty much standard around here.
