I am 27 year old guy from mumbai(India) with 1 years of experience in Java technology. I am unemployed right now , I have completed 2 certification in Java (SCJP and SCWCD). Now I am unemployed and my age is as getting older . I dont know what to do . I want to be in java field but dont know is i will get any .

If i had put the same effort in some other technology i would have atleast gotten a job . In mumbai cant even find any vacancies.

Please tell me where to go to find a job in java . I am willing to go any where just to work in java technology

Please tell me what to do .......As time pass i am getting frustrated

Varun,

You have got certifications which are handy for the job search. And apply in more than one job sites. Though the job market is bleak now ,there is always few recruitment going on here and there.

1 year exp is considered is still a "fresher" in most industries , so don't look for big leap , rather try in medium sized companies and gather experience now.

Dont lose hope after all it's all what we have to gain anything.

Thanks for your reply , but i have applied at every site that i can find , but don't seem to find any vacancies. I even went to hyderabad to look for a job there ,since i saw openings there through job portals, but on reaching there i found half those companies were bogus or didn't have any openings .But i still stayed there for 3 weeks and did what ever i could but couldn't even find companies who could take interviews.

I just want some one to take my interview and if they think i am not up to the mark then i dont mind . But the situation is such that no body is willing to even ask me to go down for an interview

Please tell me what is the right practice when searching for a job atleast in India

There is no "right" or "wrong" place. Everywhere its same story prevails at least the same sentiment running across the software cities ,so keep looking for it. You can reach small cos and see if you could help them. like i said its important to gain experience.

Good Luck !!

But there would be some places in india where there are more chances of getting a job in small companies in java .
Can you please recommend any such places.

Hi
Do you have linkedin Profile. Joins groups like Java developer, Java EE Professionals and other java groups.
In recent days, i am finding job post for Mumbai, pune and bangalore.

If you find it difficult at least take job in some mid-sized company and gain work experience. So that once the market is good, you can have a better chance.
