Ambar,
You need a few years of project management experience to be eligible. Without looking it up, I think it's three. The exact number would be on the PMI website.

To be eligible for PMP exam, a person need to have min 4500 hours work experience in assisting or managing a project (if he holds a bachelor degree) OR 7500 hours work exp of managing or assisting a project (if he holds a diploma) AND 35 contact hours of formal training. For more information on as to how you can attain these 35 contact hours, please read PMI PMP handbook: http://www.pmi.org/Certification/~/media/PDF/Certifications/pdc_pmphandbook.ashx
If you want to take up training from a Registered Education Provider (REP) to gain these 35 contact hours, please check Simplilearn website to know about PMP trainings provided. http://www.simplilearn.com/project-management/pmp-certification-training-online/ppa125da30
