Is using proxy attribute is same as lazy attribute . Can anybody please tell me when to use lazy attribute and

proxy attribute ?

No, its not. The proxy class is the mechanism that will be used to lazily load the mapped object proper when it is requested. The lazy attribute denotes whether an association is lazy.

Well, the above scenario is the only real one: when you need to lazily load an associated object or objects.
