Using Salto-db generator

Hello,
I'm using the Salto-db generator with the EJB3AndHibernateDao plugin to generate DAOs and POJOs. The generation works fine but when I try to save an object using the example code it does not persist.

ex.: DAOFactory.DEFAULT.buildUserDAO().save(user);

However, I've found that if I begin a transaction, call the same code, and then commit the transaction, the object is persisted.

Anybody know what else I need to do to avoid directly using the transaction unless I really need to?

Thanks,

Howard
