Hello,
New to JS and coding in general. I'm trying to make a bookmarklet to open bloomberg's live TV and get rid of all clutter except the video.

Here's what I have so far:

But, the scrollTo statement doesn't work. Thanks for any help!
Mike

Please be sure to use code tags when posting code to the forums. Unformatted code is extremely hard to read and many people that might be able to help you will just move along to posts that are easier to read. Please read this for more information.

You can go back and change your post to add code tags by clicking the button on your post.

You are telling the current window to scroll, not the pop up.

I don't have much experience with bookmarklets, but I imagine that the scrollTo is being applied to the current window, not the newly opened one.

And, as usual, Eric beats me by a few seconds with a ninja post!

I suspect you could use the handle returned by the open() method?

Could you clarify for me? No matter where I try to put the scrollTo statement, it won't work.
Thanks!

I have no idea if this will work, but it's what I would try first:

I got nothing then. Well maybe... the issue could be a matter of timing. The scroll may be happening too soon with respect to page loading. Perhaps setting a timeout...

You might run into a security error.
