SCWCD 5.0 Cleared 86%

Hey guys, I cleared the SCWCD 5.0 a few weeks back but got busy with some other stuff so couldn't come here to post it. Sorry about that.

So here is the experience:

Studied for 2 weeks for 2 hours daily using Head First book and then studied the book two times in the last 3 days. My voucher was expiring so took it on the last day of expiration (talk about procrastination).

I knew I only needed to focus mostly on JSTL and Custom tags, so spent most time there.

The exam was tricky but not hard and surprisingly it focused a lot on JSTL & custom tags (survery???). But, anyway exam is easy, just follow Head First book, read it at least 3 times, do the questions at back, solve some practice test from enthuware or whizlabs whichever you like.

I used enthuware and it was very good practice test experience.

Also Thanks to Marc Peabody for his notes on design patterns, I got them all correct, so no Beer !!!

I am preparing for SCWCD 5. For SCJP I did a lot of code practice, how important a role does practice play in SCWCD preparation? I noticed that I could answer most of the questions in the HFSJ book without much code practice.. But I am doing a little coding in any case

Divya, I didn't do any code practice but that's due to the fact that I kinda do that daily at work, but a little code practice would always be helpful.

Don't focus too much on coding though as the exams test your coding skills in principal (according to specs) and most of the containers add helpful features in them which don't go too well with specs, so that can be confusing sometimes.
