Popup like Gtalk online notification

Hi all need to make a Popup which should not effect the running thread or it should not ask any input from user. like Gtalk online friens notification it should come and go off after some time.

i need to know how i can make that, and animation of sliding that popup

Check out the Java system tray here. You can set a tool tip to the tray icon.

1. Is this support poping up the message on some event like that or only on clicking we will get the messages pop up
2. if my application is hiding the Task Bar is this will come up. but i dont want to show the Task bar

1) Search the forums for programatically showing a popup. It need not be manual every time.
2) No idea.
