Hi All,

I agree India is (was ??) booming in IT industry, thanks to outsourcing by UK/US, but I'm always worry about one thing, near about 70% of our jobs are created because of them(UK/US), that's means we're dependent. What if Obama government stops the outsourcing to India? How we millions of IT engineer gonna survive ?

Obama does not rule the world. He cannot stop outsourcing. If outsourcing stops companies such as one I am working on will collapse in no time!!

Outsourcing will not stop, but will slow down.

This project is going to create many jobs in India. Multibillion opportunity for Indian IT companies. . By the time this project finishes, outsourcing would have been restarted again.

You take those skills and use them to build native Indian technology. Considering that technology and knowledge processing are some of the the most valuable assets a country can have today, it's really not all that good for any country to either depend on another for those assets or to neglect their own assets in favor of working for others.

But Obama has given no indication so far that either offshore IT or the H1-B program are in danger. What little change he has spoken of is more likely to impact manufacturing.

India has just started mother of all projects.
With Indian Government appointing Nandan Nilekani as chief of Unique Identification Card (Id for each of billion Indian citizens) project, it is estimated to create around 100000 new IT jobs.
