I'm amazed I had never heard of the
Grand Traverse Pie Company
before, especially since nearly all of its locations are in Michigan and I am originally from Michigan.
It's even stranger that I discovered them at the only of the 14 locations NOT in Michigan - in Terre Haute, Indiana.
The atmosphere is a lot like a Panera Bread. But, oh my, is the pie delicious. We took home a blackberry peach crumb pie.
I guess the Michigan locations use local cherries to make an amazing cherry pie. Looks like I may be planning a trip to Michigan soon!
