how to write http header for soap request

Actually i have the soap request format though which i need to communicate with the host for the soap response. But in my application i need to send the soap request explicitly,

so can anybody suggest me how to identify/write the http header for the soap request....

How are you sending the request - using SAAJ? JAX-WS? Or via plain URLConnection? Have a look at this: http://faq.javaranch.com/java/WebServicesHowTo#http-headers
