Hi all,

The JR journal page says, it will publish journal monthly, but I haven't found the journal post February 2009.

Whats the reason ?

I've updated that page to remove the word monthly. Thanks for noticing.

The main reason that the Journal does not appear more often is that writing quality articles, and compiling them into a Journal issue, takes time, and is unpaid work. Between the need to put food on the table, and the time set aside to our personal lives, publishing the Journal has lately been something that had to give, especially given that a lot of work went into the new forum software.

In the past, we've published various articles by folks who weren't JavaRanch staff, both by professional writers and non-staff ranch members. I think that if we had more of those, the probability of (more frequent) future Journal issues happening would be much increased.
