Log4j logging problem on Linux

Hi All,

I have deployed a web service application to Oracle Application Server 10.1.2.0.2 running on Windows 2003 Server SP2.
The WS uses log4j to log messages to a file. I have now deployed that WS to Oracle Enterprise Linux 5 update 3 (64-bit)
and the same version of OAS. As OAS 10.1.2.0.2 on Linux is 32 bit I have applied the required 32-bit rpms.

On 2003Server the WS successfully creates folders and files.
On Linux no directories or files are created?

Hi Anthony,

Please cross verify the file separator used.

As we know on unix/linux file separator is "/"
while on windows it's "\".

In case of windows os both file separators will work fine.
But same is not true with unix/linux.

So it's best way to use

System.getProperty("file.separator").
