Hibernate load method doing an update after loading data

I'm still stuck on this. I have a new project using Hibernate & Spring. I am able to insert a record with no problem. When I try to load a record, it will load it and then it seems to mark the resulting list as dirty & try to do an update on it. It seems to be doing this on one of my mappings but not the other, nearly identical one. I had a many-to-many relationship at one point on it but have removed it in hopes of just getting the data from the main table. Below is the mapping & the table definition. Does anyone have an idea of something I could look into? I'm about out of ideas...
