hii everyone;
i m preparing for my scjp test. i have time till November , but i m preparing for scjp5 but since java 6 is already being used, should i write scjp6 or scjp5. If i m supposed to write scjp6 how to prepare and what are the extra or changed topics in java6 compared to java 5 .. please help me out!!

You should definitely go for SCJP 6. The difference between SCJP 5 and SCJP 6 is given here. Also you can get articles for the new topics at www.certpal.com...

It would be better if you appear for SCJP 6 certification exam as it is the latest one. Moreover, there are only slight difference between in the objectives of SCJP 5 and SCJP 6 certification exams so it will not take much time.

The objectives with modifications are API Contents, Collections/Generics and Fundamentals.

As Ankit has pointed out, check out the differences between 5 and 6. If you feel comfortable that you can alter your preparation to suit SCJP 6 (which should not be very hard), then you should take SCJP 6.

It is good if you can write SCJP 1.6.
