Are ENtity Beans are deprecated in 3.0 version

Hi the below line is from the book "Mastering EJB 3.0 "


Note that Entity beans haven’t been enhanced in ejb3.0 , since there have been no changes made to them .

What does this mean actually ?
Does it mean ENtity Beans are deprecated in 3.0 version ?

Entity beans were in the spec prior to EJB3. EJB3 is backward compatible which means that you can still use EJB2.x entity beans they will work. But yes, they are deprecated.
